Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, disproportionately affecting low- and middle-income countries. Community-based strategies have emerged as critical interventions to enhance prevention, early detection, and treatment adherence. These strategies include engaging community health workers, implementing awareness campaigns, fostering community participation, and leveraging digital health tools for monitoring. By addressing social determinants of health, such as stigma and limited access to healthcare, community-centered approaches have demonstrated significant effectiveness in reducing TB incidence and improving treatment outcomes. This paper explores various community-based strategies, outlines best practices, and highlights their role in strengthening health systems to achieve global TB elimination targets.
